About Mufidah

Welcome to the online repository for my various writings and photography.

I write a lot about my slow travel adventures in Europe with my partner Sean M. Madden. I occasionally post flash fiction and poetry, and always include one or more photographs with each post.

In May 2012 we packed our ’98 Fiat Punto and newly installed roofbox and headed for the Continent. Despite our limited storage space we managed to pack a decent amount of camping gear in addition to our multi-season capsule wardrobes. When we’re not camping we’re CouchSurfing, sleeping on the couches and floors of other people’s homes, housesitting, or staying in friends’ houses.

Since embarking on our slow travels we spent a couple of months camping in Vichy, France, enjoying the lovely region of Auvergne, and just over seven months living and teaching English in Burgos, Spain. We enjoyed Burgos enormously, documenting on a daily basis through our Instagram photographs — something which attracted the attention of the regional newspaper, Diario de Burgos.
